How to Save, Backup, and Restore Minecraft PE Worlds. I will show you how to use iTunes to easily save and backup all of your Minecraft Pocket Edition (PE) Worlds.
You used to have to use a third party program such as iExplore or iFunDrive to save or backup your Minecraft PE Worlds. Beginning with IOS 8.3, Apple blocked these third party programs from being able to have access to your IOS files.
What if you have spent a lot of time developing worlds on Minecraft....What if you get a new iPad for your Birthday or Christmas and want to bring your existing Minecraft Worlds with you to your new device.
Never Fear.....Apple now has a way to to that through iTunes.
Watch, and I will guide you through easily saving/backing up your Minecraft PE Worlds to your computer. Once saved, you can add to a new device, or even transfer a specific world or worlds to another IOS device. Pretty Cool!
When you back up (save) your Minecraft PE Worlds, you can over-write the file on your desktop. You can also create a new folder each time you do your back up. That way you will have a history of the growth of your world!
When adding Worlds to a new device from the file you have saved on your computer, any worlds that you may have on the new device will replace the existing worlds with the file you just added.
If you want to add worlds to another device and still keep your worlds on the new device, too, then follow the directions in the Third (part 3) section of this video (Transferring Select Worlds)
